I'm so Lost...
You know how when drug addicts and/or alcoholics have MAJOR problems when they're busted and have their addiction taken away?
That's how I feel.
For those of you who know me, no, it's not the soda, my addiction with that is doing just fine. However, my favorite TV show, Lost, is over. And i mean... over. The series finale was on Sunday, and even though it was AMAZING, I hate the fact that it's the last one. Just because I haven't posted if forever, I'm gonna go through a couple of my favorite characters. Also, if you haven't finished this show yet.. DON'T READ THIS. It's got some major major major spoilers..
Desmond is a great character, and he came on the scene in Season Two and, despite how crazy it sounds, he pushes a button every 180 minutes that saves the world. However, since he's been doing it for 3 years, he's a little crazy. After destroying "the hatch," he gains the power to randomly see into the future and see what's going to happen. He uses this to save Charlie's life multiple times. Eventually Desmond leaves the island, when he is reunited with the love of his life, Penelope Widmore, the daughter of Charles Widmore. They have a son, and Desmond names him Charlie in honor of Charlie Pace. Unfortunately, he is soon brought back to the island by Charles Widmore. After Widmore is murdered by Benjamin Linus, Desmond does what "Locke" tells him to and removes a sort of cork from the island's core, thereby making the entire place unstable. Jack kills "Locke" and then saves Desmond's life before stabilizing island again.
Charlie is probably my favorite character in the series. When he crashed on Oceanic flight 815 on the island, he was a Heroin addict. However, with the help of John Locke, he overcame that obstacle. Before crashing, Charlie was the bass player for a band called DriveShaft. Once on the island though, he fell into a romantic relationship with Claire Littleton, who gave birth to Aaron on the island. Charlie, having a great heart and always trying to help everyone, became a sort of father to Aaron. In Season 3, Charlie realizes that in order to get everyone off the island, namely Claire and Aaron, he has to complete a suicide mission. He goes to an underwater station that is blocking communication to and from the island, disables it, and drowns. When Desmond, who had accompanied him on the mission, returns to the island, he tells Hurley (Hugo Reyes) what happened to Charlie, who in turn tells the heartbroken Claire. In essence, Charlie was a man who always tried to do the things that helped other people most, and ended up giving up his life for those on the island.
Hurley doesn't change much throughout the show. He, similar to Charlie, has a heart for helping people. However, he always look on the bright side and tries to have fun. At one point in time, he even goes through the trouble of building an actual golf course on the island! He goes through difficult times on the island, first losing his girfriend, Libby to a bullet wound, and then Charlie, his best friend. In Season 6 he fills the role of "caretaker" of the island when Jack realizes that he's going to die. Along with the help of Benjamin Linus, he helps the other people leave the island.
Sawyer is a rough life character who, as a child, witnessed his parents' deaths after they were conned out of most of their money. He held the grudge his whole life until finally he murdered the man responsible, Anthony Cooper. He fell in love with Juliet Burke in Season 5 until her tragic death in Season 6. Sawyer was loyal to his friends to the bitter end, and didn't allow himself or his friends to be taken advantage of. He provided both humor and a great sense of security to the entire show.
John Locke is a troubled soul. Years before crashing on the island, he was conned multiple times by his own long lost father, Anthony Cooper. Throughout the series, Locke tries to persuade Jack into what 'he needs to do' and 'what he's supposed to do.' Lock is a firm believer in fate and is convinced that the island has a mind of its own. Eventually, Locke dies in order to convince the "Oceanic Six" to return to the island. When his own dead body returns to the island, "The Smoke Monster" possesses it and poses himself as Locke, though the real John Locke is dead.
Kate, like Hurley and Charlie, shows extreme care in the issues of other people and often places her own safety on the line for another's well- being. When she arrived on the island, she was a criminal convicted of murdering her father-in-law, who was abusive to her mother. When Jack found out, he told her that everyone deserved a fresh start on the island, and she was even released of her charges in the real world. Throughout the show, she finds herself in a love battle between Sawyer and Jack, but in the end she chooses Jack. Kate is a character who provides a large amount of emotion to the show, both in a sad way, but also in a way where the viewer feels a need to do something, rather than let the events sort themselves out. That's the sort of character that Kate is.
Jack was a surgeon prior to the crash, and is set up as the sort of "leader" of all those who crashed. He always feels the need to "fix" things, and when he fails it devastates him. In the final season, he takes Jacob's place as the caretaker of the island. However, after being wounded in a fight to the death with the supposed "Locke," Jack sacrifices his life to save the remaining survivors and even the island itself. In essence, he was the main character of the show.
Okay, so that's it. See, you learn something new every day! Anyway, if you have Netflix I would HIGHLY reccommend this show. It's amazing.
Thanks for reading..

December 31st, 2009.. Oh well.
Today is the last day.
of 2009. Then comes 2010. great. cool. blah. Who cares? All that happens is we get to sit around with friends/family and celebrate how another day the same as yesterday is coming.. and that's supposed to be important? I don't get it personally. "Happy New Year!!" You'll probably hear that a couple hundred times today. What does it imply? "Congradulations, you get a new start. Try to make the 365 overall good. Then you can... do it again." Thrilling, really. Okay, so don't get me wrong, I like celebrating stuff. I like sitting around with friends and family. But here's my point: if you're gonna do this "happy new year" thing, make it what it needs to be. Make the next 365 days something you can be proud of. Make them count. Start creating a legacy of your own, starting now, then carry it on throughout the next year. and the next. and so on and so on.. Again, don't misunderstand me. Don't make a list of things to do as your "new years resolution" because everyone knows that it's not going to last much more than a week. Dedicate yourself to what you love and protect it. Care for it. Make this year count. Don't just make it "another year" or look forward to this one just because 2009 sucked. Maybe it did, and maybe you really just want your fresh start, but even if you are, make. it. count. Do something! Don't just watch the news channel as the lights in New York City flash really bright and people are kissing in the streets. Make this year glorious. Carpe Diem: Sieze the day

Today is a new Day!!! and it's 11:39 pm...
Okay, I'm sorry. having a blog and never posting.... is.. well.. stupid. so i'm done with that. I'm tired, but i'm gonna try to include some things that have been happening since... September. Jeez.. a long time.
Well, first off: I'm sixteen! yeah wooh. big whoop. turns out all the guys get ripped off here. I was informed that only girls get "sweet sixteens" and for the rest of us heterosexual men, we march on to the next significant age: 18. Darn.
I guess something else... hmm.. well, I was in a play! It was called "Everything is not Enough" and it totally rocked. I'll post some pictures.. someday. No, not in forever, like.. tomorrow or something. Anyways, I had a small role as a cop and only had a few lines but it opened me up to NCTC and I LOVE IT! Unfortunately, due to the curse of school (cuse you!) I'm to busy to do anymore until Summer. Darn.
Number 3: okay.. this is getting hard. I suppose this means my life is boring.. OH. okay, well going back to my previous post: The Song. Okay... so... it's not done. I guess it'll probably be a 2010 hit. :P sorry music fans. I procrastinate sometimes. and sometimes I just run low on the music thoughtfulness stuff required for songwriting.
Speaking of songs, I have two more pieces of information!!
I bought a keyboard on Black Friday.
I recorded a song by Kyle Hersey for the play ABOUT the play. Obviously, the song name is the same as the play. "Everything is not Enough" It's not done mixing, the dude is having trouble but I have a raw phone file of us practicing it and it's pretty good quality. I'll see what it takes to get it on here. soon.
So... lastly, I went to Cincinatti for an awesome "Sufficiency of Scripture" conference.. but I'm tired so if you really really want to know about it.. email me.
Goodnight, my love.
(I have no idea whysoever I am posting this romantic term.. but I feel the urge.)

Wyatt's Song
Hey guys,
As some of you know, the guitar portion for the song I'm composing for Wyatt is complete. The piano is done as well and I'm deciding whether or not I want another instrument. I'm still not sure, but I'll let you all know. Anyways, In case I haven't told you yet, the song will be named "Forever Fourteen", a phrase coined by Mrs. Gentry in a Facebook status. I asked her if I could name my song that and she agreed. I also found a friend (Isaac Lee) who has the programs I need on his computer to record, edit, and publish the song. Lord willing, it will be finished by two months time. I'm still working on lyrics along with some close friends but I'm (we're) getting close! We'll be ready to record as soon as the lyrics are written. Depending on how many instruments I incorporate, I may need the assistance of another friend. At this point, I have only asked Heidi Turner to record with me but like I said, there could be another request or two taking place before anything happens. Just to say thanks, I'll also add that Brianna Crouch, Heidi Turner, and Abby Davis (I think.. maybe not the third... :P) are helping me think up appropriate lyrics for Forever Fourteen. Pray for guidance and wisdom to us if you will. Thanks!
God Bless,
Cameron Clark
